About Arizona Women’s Shooting Associates

Arizona Women’s Shooting Associates (AWSA) is a grassroots Arizona organization formed by women, for women, with a mission to encourage, educate and mentor women (and their families and friends) in the shooting sports. AWSA provides a welcoming environment for beginners through advanced shooters to build confidence, develop skills, and deepen their knowledge of firearm safety and marksmanship. AWSA is proudly the women’s division of the Arizona State Rifle & Pistol Association (ASRPA) and all instructors are NRA-certified.

AWSA Background

Founded to introduce women to the shooting sports and build community through education and skill development, Arizona Women’s Shooting Associates is dedicated to promoting firearm safety, marksmanship, and personal confidence. Based in Arizona with regular sessions at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility, AWSA offers classes for all skill levels, including NRA-certified instruction and supportive practice environments for women shooters of all backgrounds.

What We Do — Programs & Events

Signature Programs
• Women On Target Clinics — introduction to handguns and rifles in a supportive setting.
• Everyday Women’s Safety Training — practical safety and awareness skills.
• Range Safety Officer and Instructor Courses — advanced training and certification opportunities.
• Mother/Daughter Pistol Classes — multi-generation learning experiences.

Practice & Skill Nights
Regular pistol and rifle practice sessions at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix with structured coaching for both members and non-members.
